Yesterday was a day of rest like today. With our 19 month old Granddaughter Lilly with us all day it turned out to be much less of a day of rest. LOL. We had her with us all day not being the parent of a toddler for so many years now I have certainly forgotten about all of the focus and attention it takes to keep up with that level of energy.
As I spent a great portion of the day on the floor playing I was working muscles that haven’t worked in years. By the time it was Lilly’s bed time it was also Nana and Pop Pop’s also.
So today my hat goes off to all of you parents of Toddlers who understand just what it takes to keep up with the little one’s.
The love I felt towards this little bundle of joy far out way the exhausted feeling of trying to keep up with her and as she constantly finds amazement in the world around her I found amazement in her ability to recognize a butterfly fluttering about amongst the flowers in the garden. Many of these same feelings were awakened in memory of being amazed at my own children at her age. Although Sharon and I love each other immensely there is a different type of love that a grandchild brings into a home that lights up our worlds.

Beautiful picture. I can see the energy! 🙂
She is BEYOND adorable, Bill. I remember well the energy it took to keep up with my own kids! My mother used to say, “that’s why parentood is reserved for the young.” LOL. Enjoy making every wonderful memory.
