Diabesity Challenge Day #61 – Cardio and a Cave for the Beast

cropped-garagegymlife21After purchasing a new set of headphones I am once again excited to start getting my walking on. The most important item of this upgrade was getting an extension cord for the headphones that gives me a little more freedom as the small TV I have is mounted on the wall.

This leads me to another task at hand. The garage itself should feel more like a gym rather than a garage so I am going to start moving things around and working at creating more of gym atmosphere. If working out is something that I will be doing for the rest of my life it is worthwhile creating an atmosphere that welcomes those tough workouts.

Along with workout equipment I also need a space to sit and write for blogging, an area for all health products I use like proteins and vitamins and of course a full size mirror. It’s sounds like the building of “The Beast Cave”. The Beast needs a cave!

About SimpleLivingOver50

At 53 years old I am starting to realize how life changes both physically and emotionally. I strive for a life of simplicity. I am winning the battle with type II diabetes, created a plan to have all debt paid off in 4 years including the house, taking advantage of every opportunity to live life to it's fullest through adventures in nature, hiking, biking, loving and learning.

Wow, you are definitely an encouragement and inspiration for me. I start my road to healthier living on Monday and am getting prepared in all ways this weekend – menu, mindset, exercise plan, initial weight and measurements, etc. I will also be reporting regularly of my progress. Thanks for showing me it can be done! I don’t have a garage at the moment but am making do with what I have!

  2. Superb idea! Reminds me of the time I got rid off a couch and table earlier this year to accommodate my elliptical trainer and weights instead. While not yet there, this beastette-in-the-making also needed her cave;-)

  3. Lol! Absolutely! Grrrrr. . .
