Diabesity Challenge Day #50 – Don’t Get Eaten by an Alligator

My first day of Creatine Loading went well yesterday other than a few problems with gas. I drank lot’s and lot’s of water yesterday and will do the same today. Only 4 more days of this loading phase then I only have to worry about getting the 5 grams in once a day which will fall in line with my first meal of the day.

Lately I have been doing a protein shake which contains 30g of protein at 6:00 AM and another at 8:00 AM. I need to spread this out to the first being post workout then the next at lunchtime. My body is having a tough time processing 60 grams of protein in such a close window.

I am happier to be working with heavier weight today with the upgrade to the bowflex. I can bring down my reps in each set to a rational number. I can already feel the results of lifting heavier as I am working my back muscles with slow concentration.

article-0-1168535E000005DC-782_468x313As I am really starting to make marks in progress with body building I can notice many changes where basically my day goes by with little self induced stress. I feel as if I am in a state of total relaxation all day. I am working hard but for some reason it really doesn’t feel that way. I really have little muscle soreness and I continue to keep progressing a little bit with each workout. I know that not only is all this hard work driving down my blood sugar but it is also managing to regulate it during the course of the day. Yes, I am coming around to believe that while diet is so important it is also the act of hard work that keeps our bodies working properly. Although we are human we are still a part of the animal kingdom and I don’t know too many animals who sit behind a desk all day, eat whatever they can purchase at a store and sit around watching TV for hours at a time. No, they have to work to eat, they have to work to bread, and they have to work to provide shelter. Could you imagine if we all had to go through the same tasks each day just to survive? I’ll betcha we wouldn’t be suffering all of these medical problems we currently face. Sure, we may get eaten by an alligator or two, but at least we would go down healthy. Of course I am certainly not suggesting that we return to the animal world we processed from, but we have to put on our thinking caps and realize that our bodies are built for work and without it we end up on the couch watching people who understand this and stay healthy.
