Let’s get Real

Lets Get RealI have heard this quote so many times in my life, “Let’s get Real” and I still don’t know what it means. People use it in all different types of situations. What is real and what is fantasy?

We all have dreams of getting to somewhere that we are not currently at right now. The dream is the inspiration that sparks the action of finding a way to accomplish a task through action. It is the action that is real because it is physical in nature. We can touch it, we can feel it and know that it is present. But as we put our actions into a sequence which through time gets us to our destiny wouldn’t that also confirm that the dream itself is also real.

I believe that it is all real from the beginning of just a single thought all the way up it’s completion. In fact just about everything is real because it has some substantial meaning in our lives and even the lives of others.

If I were to write a book based solely on fantasy and publish into a book there would still be readers who could empathize with my words and find great value in it through what exists in there own lives. That is real.

What I find is that most of the time I hear those words, “Lets get Real” it usually applies to something I may have said that someone disagrees with like, “I would love to have a million dollars in the bank”, or “I would love to have a job like that one day”, or even “I would love to be able to retire early”. All of things are possible when a plan of action is put in place to find a way to get there, but for many these things are out of reach because of the limitations that one creates for themselves. So when I hear someone say, “Let’s get Real” to me what they are actually saying is that they do not believe that something like that is actually attainable in there lives and what they believe should be realistic to me too.

Truth be told there are many throughout history who lack a high IQ, or a certain level of education or even the resources to rise, yet through pure desire and ambition have found a way to break the chains of getting real to find a way of making their dreams come true. They push hard, work hard and seek out to find answers. They never give into the nay sayers and stay on paths that provide the tools to move forward. They slip, they fall and get back up again and learn from mistakes made and find a new path.

Whatever you believe that you can be, trust me it is real. What you think about most of the time in the silence of your own mind is real to you and always has the possibility to materialize into reality. Don’t let the statement of another stand in your way of finding those very special things that you believe. They are just words based on someone else’s own self limitations and in no way should ever form an opinion in your mind that they may be yours also.

Rather than being a negative quote instead it should be one of a positive nature. “Let’s get Real”. Where are you now? Where do you want to be? What will it take to get there? If is is your hearts desire then why are you still dreaming about it? What action have you taken, even the smallest action to find a way to get started working towards this dream? Did you write it down on a piece of paper yet?

Yea, “Let’s get Real”.

With just a little bit of exercise I see my blood sugar falling. My body weight is still the same, but I am still in the middle of winter yet. As Spring comes around I will also see my body weight start to drop. Slow and steady wins the race.
