Rainy Pacific Northwest and Hyundai Warranty’s

nino_iexcellence_2After days of waiting for an answer from the Hyundai dealership I finally have a response that my transmission is in fact “bad”, and Hyundai is honoring their factory warranty to replace it. The cost of this job without the warranty would have been $5800.00 out of pocket, so this makes me very happy. The found a few other things that needed attention like the front brakes and air conditioning belt which I granted them permission to take care of. There were also a few other recall items that they are taking care of.

The only problem is that it will take up to two weeks to get the part and do the work but I have been granted a rental from Enterprise that will also be covered under the same warranty.

I no longer have any bad thoughts about the Hyundai Corporation who came through and honored the problems that this 2010 Hyundai Elantra had. Because of their positive actions I believe that Hyundai will stay in our thoughts in years to come as we may be in need of a new vehicle.

5178933425_d9407e4746_zIt has been raining here in the Pacific Northwest part of America relentlessly for over a week now and is starting to get a bit tiresome. And although I am getting tired of it I also praise it as I understand the incredible need for water. When Springtime arrives I will certainly celebrate all of this rain by visiting many of the incredible natural waterfalls in this mountainous region.

AC106_Leather-Hat-2I believe that the toughest part of all of this painful is working outside in it. At this time of year I am driving to work in the dark and driving home in the dark and with the added rain it gets pretty challenging at times. I am not only spend money on additional rain gear, but have also purchased a wide brim leather that that allows the water to fall around me rather than on me. I thought people wore hats like this out here to look cool, but have found out that they are simple a necessity. I use both hands while working outside and an umbrella just is not an option.

Whooo Hoooo so glad Hyundai came through for you….they fixed my sisters Elantra too but that didn’t solve the problem of getting up their hill in the winter…so they went to a Subaru 4-wheel drive so she doesn’t’ have to park it at the bottom of the hill and walk up on the icy road….I always said I would move off the side of the Olympic Mts. LOL but really happy for you…and a rental….good job!!!! Were you near the flooding a couple weeks ago in Portland?? you guys were on our news for many days…!!! love the new hat….and I am sure you look “cool” in it, just an added bonus…good day my friend…stay dry…kat

Yes the hat is stylish to boot, Boots! That’s the next thing you need, lol-maybe galoshes! ๐Ÿ˜‰

  4. Good news Billy!
    Pleased for you for sure!

  5. Glad they are doing right! I know how it is when it rains for days. UGH. Here we get a lot, rains for days weeks straight. I think you get twice what we get. There would not be a water shortage if not for the waste created by the big oil/agriculture corps. in CA.

    • I agree totally. I have vowed to grow my own vegetables in raised bed gardens with an automatic drips irrigation system. What’s nice is that I know what goes into my food. I also purchase local veggies from the farmers market to support our local small farmers.

I am in the same rain as you. Yesterday we had a pretty dry day. I was outside digging and planting. I heard a frog! The light will be returning soon.

  7. It’s great that the company is going to honor the warranty. We have had struggles with our previous vehicles so that’s nice to hear that they are doing the right thing.
