Although I had a wonderful time over the last several days and spending time with family members from all over was an incredible experience, but I have to tell you, I am tired and it feels really good to be back to work. I am sure I am not the only one who feels this way as many of our guests traveled a great distance with children and all of the things that go along with the young ones. Sometimes just getting back to what is familiar to us brings about the those comforts of home.
Yesterday was the last day of having house guests and before dropping Pop & Rosemary off at the airport we figured we would treat them to some good old Oregon sights. We took a ride to to Silver Springs to see a couple of waterfalls and then to the Glockenspiel Restaurant in Mount Angel for some authentic German food.
The day worked out wonderful as the weather was absolutely perfect and to Pop’s pleasure the New York Giants were playing on Monday night football and the game ended right before we had to leave for the airport. By the way, the Giants won that game.
Both my blood sugar and body weight seem to be coming back down and I seem to be slightly off track but will be quickly returning to normal.

Theres always that Ahhhhhh after everyone is gone and you sit down for the first time in a quiet home….glad you all had a great time….that’s what it is all about…numbers look good….kat
Thanks Kat, yea it looks like I can start getting back to normal. I have been missing out on both reading and writing posts. How’s everything down in California? Is the weather a little more bearable?
starting tomorrow…its in the low 90’s here today….hopefully we will have fog back….you sure lucked out with beautiful weather….l\hows the food at the German place in Mt. Angel’s???
The food was outstanding. True German Heritage. We did miss the clock play as we spent a little too much time at the falls, but it was worth it. Mount Angel is the home of the Oregon Octoberfest and is always a great time.
I looked it up on the internet and it looked like a fun place to visit….I added it to my list…thanks…
