Simple Living Over 50 Changes the Patterns of his Blog

BATMAN1As I am making changes in my workout routine I have decided that it would make things a whole lot clearer if I also made changes to my blog. From this point forward I will be posting my daily activity from the day prior. This will include my early morning glucose reading, my body weight, my workout and the foods I ate all day and when I ate them. The reason for this is that it is easy to write down the things that I plan to eat during the day but as I go through my day there are times when I am eating other things as snacks. I will pick on things like berries or nuts, but sometimes I will make the mistake of eating something that I am not supposed to eat and these things should be reflected in my daily blog postings. I will keep these particular posts under the category of “Type II Diabetes”, and will be found under the top menu of the same name.

I will carry my notebook with me always and write down everything during the course of the day and share this information the next day on my website. I feel that this method will keep me truly accountable to all the actions that I take for 24 hours. It will also give me a true reference point to go back and look at certain things like progress and fall backs and what might have caused them.

Most likely they will probably be dry and boring and I suppose the only people I will have reading them will be those folks who are also dealing with Type II Diabetes, but be rest assured that I will also continue to post many of my thoughts and dreams about all of the other subjects I am passionate about like Minimalism, Debt, Gardening, Hiking and Nature, they just will not include the daily diabetes progress reports.

No I am not turning into “Batman”, I am just making a few changes that I think will be more beneficial to both myself and my Type II Diabetes readers. Yea, I dressed up like Batman for Halloween.

Having set a few targets myself lately I have to tell you that it is useful to feel, even slightly, commited and your method will serve that. Furthermore, it’s also rewarding to keep a record or journal of achievements. Good luck!

Did cat woman get to your sleeve there? Ha. The first barefoot batman. Nice. My older son went as Batman for years and regularly wore a batman t-shirt, with a cape attached. Any thoughts yet on the Whole30?
