I am once again packing on the fat even despite the workouts in the morning and it is so obvious that I am eating too many carbs that it scares me. I will have to bring down my carbohydrate portions to just about 30 grams per day for a while and slowly allow them back up to 60 grams. Yes, I have to get back into ketosis and start reversing the effects of collecting fat on my body. This is that viscous cycle that is so easy to get back into when your resistance is low and by simply just eating a few things that are high in carbohydrates each day sets the wheels in motion. So sit back and enjoy the show as I flip the coin and burn that fat baby.
I am the master of my body and it is I alone who dictates it’s well being. From this day forward I will eat only those foods that bring me the nutrients I need to make this machine run like a clock. I will be on the treadmill each day burning off the calories it takes to start utilizing that stored fat and I will succeed. I will be the master of my own body and my health because there is no one else who can do it for me. It must come from within and my desire is burning like a flame in the night with each passing day getting brighter and brighter until I reach my desired goal. I am unstoppable.

Great post…and great timing! I too am starting a “back to basics” challenge today with some of my group members. Back to basics for me means animal protein, non-starchy veggies, preferably green leafy ones, eggs and healthy fat. This is the method that works best for me. I will be eating these foods along with some fasting, adequate rest and moderate activity, mostly for stress reduction, keeping carbs around 30g. I too have been in weight loss limbo for a while and am ready to take charge! Thank you for the inspiration today. Keep us posted on your progress!
I was in a slump for a while, but it I am ready to take on the world. Ahhhhhh
Light that fire!
I am burning.
I love affirmations!!!!
Bravo! I love affirmations too. Thoughts become things. When we voice our thoughts out loud the chance of their becoming reality is multiplied by 10. When we write them down they are multiplied by 100. By making affirmations such as this one “I am unstoppable” we are consciously creating our own reality. Living in gratitude for how far you have come gives you permission to continue this conscious creating and the conviction that it will be so. I love to see the Law of Attraction at work like this. You are a super hero!
Woo Hoo! Thanks Ellen.
Yea, I am so feeling it that I had express it. I AM UNSTOPPABLE.
Wooohoooo! It’s great that you are back on the mission, even when taking a break for a while. I keep my carbs around 30 or less a day too and feel FANTASTIC! You got this.
Is it safe for you to be in ketosis?
Absolutely. Nutritional Ketosis is safe for those with Type II Diabetes as the body learns to utilize the ketones vs carbohydrates. But of course with any type change in diet it has to be monitored and balanced.
Great attitude!
Grrrrr. ๐
It sounds like you know exactly what you have to do and are on the right track – impressive. Cheering you on from the Northeast. ๐
Thank you from the Northwest ๐
I only liked this post because there is no “love” icon. The headline was gripping, the content was great. You had me really rooting for you and at the same time trying to analyse my own diet. I know you will make it!
Thanks, it’s an endless pursuit of the drive to stay healthy
Spread that burning fire. It’s awesome.

This an amazing message! Couldn’t have said better myself ๐
What is your blood type if you know?
O+
I’m an O too! Have you ever heard of the Blood Type Diet? It’s not really a diet, but more of a tool to attain optimal health through complementary food and exercise choices. Since you are an O, the diet says that lean beef, veggies, and fruits will help you lose weight and attain optimal health; whereas wheat (typically gluten foods like bread, pasta, etc.), dairy (I love dairy and miss it!), and corn are avoids that cause massive inflammation in our systems. Check out the doc’s site http://www.dadamo.com/txt/index.pl?1004. It is fascinating and has helped a lot of people!
Yes, I read this book years ago and I am mindful of these things as I have naturally moved to a natural way of eating.
Powerful words! Wonderful reminders, Thank you very much for sharing this!
