This morning I am looking at some bad decisions I made over the weekend. Saturday I ate Mexican for lunch and drank beer after dinner. Sunday I ate Spaghetti for dinner and chased it down with beer. Both days I ate dark chocolate after dinner. The results are in with my blood sugar at 118 and weight increasing to 172.8. It is these decisions that slowly lead to deteriorating health problems. At the time it doesn’t seem like it would be such a problem, but deep down inside I know that I am not being mindful when making these decisions and small things can add up to big problems. Being mindful is so easy to say, yet so difficult to practice. I will have to mindful of that.
I’m finding that my biggest problems still exist and I have to find a way to nip them in the bud.
Problem #1 – I have to monitor myself when I get home from work during the week. It is getting too darn easy to crack open a beer and follow it up with another.
Problem #2 – No more snacks after dinner. Period.
Problem #3 – Maintain a balanced eating schedule on the weekends. This is an old one and I still haven’t put it in perspective on a consistent basis.
It is still all a big puzzle to me and I still haven’t found all of the pieces to get it all together. But I am slowly getting there.
