Stupid Post

stupid
I just posted lyrics from a song I heard on the radio. It brought back a lot of memories for me, but the question is: Is this something that is worth posting of WordPress? Or something that should be posted on Facebook. I associate WordPress with actual intelectual writing or journaling, not music lyrics. So why did I post that? I need some feedback on this subject. What do you think? Is this a post that you would simply pass over, or something that has some merit on WordPress?

Don’t beat yourself up. Would not call it stupid, especially compared to a lot of what I see out there. And some of us are old enough to recall and appreciate the lyrics to a song long forgotten.

  2. What I think? It’s YOUR blog, you can post anything you like 🙂 🙂 I consider blogs to be great forums for creative expression where we can just post what we wish on the day sometimes…people won’t read what doesn’t interest them personally and that’s no biggy 🙂

    • Your right! It’s my blog and if I want to post song lyrics on it I certainly can. I like how you stated, “great forums for creative expression”.

      • You certainly can 🙂 🙂 I once started a blog where I just posted random things I felt like putting…it helped me heal some stuff and I love it but after a year or so I had no need for it and deleted it. But it was great at the time and though I have a gardening blog now occasionally other things will creep in in the mood of the day 🙂 Even the odd song I love! I like your song and the lyrics…gosh, put what you want 🙂

      • Yea, I suppose I was feeling a bit of pressure from getting posts from the The Daily Post and all of the lessons on how to build a successful blog. I believe that a succussful blog is one that is written from the soul. It’s funny because when I first started publishing my blog I really didn’t care too much about what other’s thought, but when I started getting follower’s I started thinking more about what I think people want to read rather than what I want to write. Stupid Ego. LOL

I agree with what you all said above; number one, it’s your blog, but also, blogging from the soul – if you follow your heart, you’ll find like-minded readers 🙂

I agree with the other comments here…post what you want, this blog is YOUR creative space. It’s funny, whenever I have new followers, I am both flattered and sometimes perplexed “I wonder why they are reading/following me?” We all read different things at different times for different reasons I suppose.

Keep creating your space, blogging keeps us connected, even with those who are “different” than us.

As C.S. Lewis indicated: ‘Reading teaches us to see with other eyes, to imagine with other imaginations, to feel with other hearts.’ reading can include a novel, a short story, a lyric or random thought. I fully agree with Chaos Girl if you follow your heart you’ll find like minded readers.
