Everyday I post a personal journal entry that applies to the progress I make in many area’s of my life. Sometimes these entries do contain negative statements that aren’t always pleasing. These thoughts are a part of me and as much as I try to stay focused on the positive they do hawnt my soul. So each day I will start out reading a positive quote and share that quote in my daily journal entry.
Blood Sugar 120? WTF. So, I am not sure if the reduction in medication caused this or the rice I ate last night. I think I should give it one more day before I make a decision. I did a little experiment with my body weight this morning. Before cardio I weighed in at 173.2 and after the workout 172.2. I sweated off 1 whole pound. I need to start thinking about adding to my routine. I have to figure out how to get cardio in on my strength days. I am considering working the treadmill after work on those days that I use the BowFlex morning. Maybe just on the weekdays and maybe just for 30 minutes. I have been dancing around this 171,172,173 range for too long now and I have to find a way to break it. Just like when I first started working out my body jumped into fat burning mode because it was challenged. My workout has been becoming less challenging now and more of a maintenance program. I have also noticed that I am eating a little more carbohydrates than I did when I first started this mission. I cannot become overconfident because my numbers are normal, especially if I want to eventually get off of medication. I will break the 170 mark in the next few weeks and start sliding down to my final destination of 160. And yes, it is ok to look at my weight as a marker. To me it represents the fat on my body that needs to be burned off. With strength training I know that muscle mass carries weight, but when I grab my side and still feel that fat there, I know that it must be burned off. I must stay the course, keep on keeping on, and step it up just a little.

3:30 PM – Snack – Trader’s Joes Snack Bar (120 Calories)
6:30 PM – Dinner – General Tso’s Chicken (540 Calories)
6:40 PM – Meds + Vitamins
7:30 PM – Snack – Snack Bar (120 Calories)
