05-20-14 – Tuesday

Morning glucose reading came in at 103 this morning. This is what I was afraid of when I reduced the metphormin. I don’t like going over 100. So I will watch it for the next couple of days and make a decision. One thing I have to keep in mind is that I really have to watch my diet very carefully. Any amount of high carbs or sugar can cause high blood sugar. Weight came in at 175.0 this morning. I find this interesting. It is 3.2 lbs. heavier than yesterday. I typically take my weight after a cardio workout. Is it possible that I am sweating off that much weight during my cardio workout. Maybe I should weigh myself both before and after cardio. If this is the case I need to worry not so much about my weight and focus more on my waist size. I will fit into those 32″ khaki’s next week!

While jotting down figures and notes in my notebook this morning my wife told me that I was like a lab rat. LOL. I suppose in a way I am. I like to monitor everything and make comparisons to try to cure a disease that I really believe that I created myself. That instinct to survive for us humans goes so far past the animal survival traits that we all possess. The human mind is capable of so many incredible thought patterns and I truly believe that along with all of the researchers out there doing the same thing I am doing we will come up with a solution. It’s really about education and self control and controlling the food industry through supply and demand. If we learn to demand those foods that will ensure are survival as individuals, then the type of supply will change as profits change.
